'Tis the Holidays. Does anyone here conduct any holiday reading just for this period of time?

Not here. I'm more likely to do holiday reading in spring and fall. This time of year, I'm too busy trying to pretend that I haven't procrastinated the month away.

Yup. I pull out one of my guilty pleasures, collections of regency romance Christmas stories. I usually can't abide regency romances because after Georgette Heyer, no one else can do them to her standard. However, in December I pull down my volumes of A Regency Christmas I, II, III, IV, V VI, and IX and browse through them. I also pick up Elizabeth Goudge's book of Christmas stories, The Lost Angel, and her novel, The Dean's Watch. And of course, I have to reread Hogfather by Terry Pratchett.

There is a box of Christmas books that gets stored for 11 mos. w/ the lights and decorations, so those get their annual read through... other than that I don't start much, in anticipation of what Mrs. Claus is wrapping for me!
