Ok, late in starting this, but it seemed kind of odd to be posting in a thread that's more than a year old.

Currently I'm reading the Farthest Shore, River of Fire, River of Water, and rereading Love Without End: Jesus Speaks

O. K., I'll admit it - I've been re-reading trash fiction for the last week or so. I'm trying to tidy up my house for Xmas and more often than not this requires dealing with piles of books all around - books that need to be recycled. Not worth even touchstones here. However, I am in the middle of two new finds but haven't yet formed opinions on their theses or arguments. 1. American Curiosity: Cultures of Natural History in the Colonial British Atlantic World by Susan Scott Parrish and 2. Finding Order in Nature: The Naturalist Tradition from Linnaeus to E. O. Wilson by Paul Lawrence Farber. The second may contain material suitable for a beginning survey course on landscape studies that I am working on.

But truthfully, I've been escaping into junk fiction.
