The group discussion topics so far look fairly pre-1945 but I thought I'd mention a recent experience while visiting the Bronx Museum. The bookstore had expanded considerably and when I looked at my credit card receipt, I noticed the name was ARTBOOKS which is the name used by the shop at P.S. 1 in Long Island City. (Sorry about the NYC-centricity of this note.) I added a venue for "artbooks @ P.S. 1" so you can favorite it if you like it. If you haven't been there and you like to look at books on contemporary art, I recommend it. The Bronx one is considerably smaller but the selection was very appropriate to the show without being narrow.

Stores to purchase well selected art books is always worth knowing. Thanks! I wandered into Hennessy & Ingalls in Santa Monica, CA (on Wilshire at 3rd St.), after a fairly long absence. Always known as a great architecture book store, it looks like they've greatly expanded their art, especially contemporary art, inventory. I felt fortunate to be able to escape with only $150 in damage to my wallet.
