Hi - just a quick introduction.
I'm located in Oklahoma City and so excited to find other Jewish congregational libraries using librarything.
We've been using openbiblio for a while as an online catalog - but I didn't have time to develop it as much as I wanted so decided migrate all our data here.
I'm working with the librarything folks to get all our holdings uploaded - when they are there will be nearly 5000 titles (not counting duplicate copies).
Thanks for inviting me to join this group!

Thank you for joining. Five thousand titles, that's impressive!

I wish I could take credit for the size of the collection - but I've only been working with it for about 6 years -- the folks before me did a tremendous amount of brilliant work.

Shalom,
I am the librarian for the Celia Gurevitch Jewish Community Library, located in Santa Rosa, CA at Congregation Beth Ami. We have 4000+ items, including 120 VHS tapes, 180 audio tapes, a few dozen DVDs and a few CDs. Our blog is here:

The library has been around for 25 years, but I just started working here last year. One of the projects I am doing, with the help of volunteers, is making sure that our catalog has the ISBNs of all the books that actually have an ISBN . When the list is as complete as possible we will import our list to LibraryThing.
I still have to figure out a way what to do with the books that lack ISBNs, which seems to be about half of our collection. If I can get more volunteers, we might add them manually.

Shalom, cglibrary,
You don't necessarily need ISBNs to enter books on LibraryThing. You can enter them by title or LCCN (Library of Congress control/card number; it's usually found on the page after the title page near, or instead of, and ISBN). Just be sure to have Library of Congress indicated as the cataloging source.
