So, it's the penultimate episode. It better start getting better tonight. *sigh*

A singularity? Really, is that the best you could do?

How can you go on a one-way rescue mission? Honestly, did anyone even proof this script?

I actually liked the flashbacks, tho, for the most part. The Baltar stuff was so ham fisted it was embarrassing.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Well, I'm not sure I have anything to say.

What do you think the flashbacks were all about? Just to remind us how far they have come? Who they were before all this tragedy and suffering shaped them?

My husband and I were discussing possible reasons for not being able to get excited about the show this season. We came up with 1. the long, long, long wait period between seasons 2. The lack of forethought or planned overarching narrative (although we acknowledge that because of the way shows are constructed (i.e. given the go ahead a season at a time), it's probably impossible to do this.

My husband is predicting Hera as deus ex machina in the next episode.

The cynical answer is the flashbacks were a long commercial for Caprica.

Well, at least it will be over Friday night.

>4 littlegeek: I wondered about that, but isn't Caprica supposed to be further back in time when Adama is young*

*I, of all people, realize that young is a relative thing, so to clarify, young like in his 20s.

I don't see the singularity being that big an issue. However improbable, they stated that there is basically a soft spot where the cylons jump in and out from and that's where the Galactica is going.

I enjoyed the episode, even if it was one long setup for the finale. *shrug*

Caprica is supposed to be set before the first cylon war, when they were first building cylons... so, when *Joseph* Adama is young.
