Greetings from Paeroa.
I didn't notice this group before.
I'm still loading up books and learning my way around. I manage a primary school library, in fact, I learnt about Librarything through my National Library contact, so your photo appropriate.
I love reading our local authors, as well as a diverse range of international fiction. I am currently reading The World Beneath by Cate Kennedy.

Recently found Librarything myself, but am impressed how many books you have already got up .... its gets in the way of reading as well :)

Welcome roundballnz.
Yeah it does but it will be much quicker once I have finished loading.
I have been recording manually the books that I have read over past 10 years.
So this is ideal. Just taking a while to load.

Welcome to New Zealand Thingamabrarians from Tauranga :) (although I'm currently in Rome). It's nice to have new members here, as things often get a little quiet.

I have finally finished loading all my books and was delighted to learn how to upload covers, especially as often there aren't any covers for our NZ authors.
So on with the reading.
I am presently reading an Aussie book called The Albatross Hotel. Not a great storyline so far but some of her observations on running a pub I suspect would be very similar to our Kiwi pubs!
Hey Moniica, struck a lovely day in Tauranga last week but alas our summer weather has turned to custard today. Oh well I guess the poor farmers need rain!

Hi there, thought I'd also introduce myself as I joined quite a few years ago but never had the time to spend here, unlike now. I live in Whangaparaoa, just north of Auckland and am a total bookworm although it will take me a few weeks to get all of my library listed here but I will persevere. Other than that, I'm enjoying reading comments from like-minded readers.

Hi from me also. I will follow your library with interest. I have 3 daughters, all readers, and a 6 week old granddaughter, whom I am already buying books for. From Librarything I have also joined an online book group, which is great.
That's a lovely area where you live. Sounds a good life.

I live in Dunedin. I am using LibraryThing to catalogue my church library. I learnt about this site when Tim Spalding came as the guest speaker to the LIANZA conference in Christchurch last year. I am also writing an acticle for the magazine for CatSig, the Cataloguers section of LIANZA
