- If you like horror books/films/television shows/related products, this is your home. An amazing independent store with a dizzying array of very specialized items, it's quite possibly the only bookstore of its kind in the United States. It's not uncommon for creators in this particular genre to appear here and nowhere else, and their signing events have a party feel. While their events tend to be signings only (rarely a talk or reading), don't let that turn you off because while standing in line you'll have a chance to chat with all sorts of interesting people. Store is run by Del and Sue Howison, who know everything and (it seems) everyone related to this genre. Del Howison is also co-editor of the "Dark Delicacies" anthology series, winner of the Bram Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association.
