- Newly renovated by the town of West Hartford and now located in the brand new Blue Back Square complex, the Noah Webster Main Library branch offers books and media of all sorts. They are quick to respond to patron requests and provide the newest literature available at their earliest convenience. They are also a member of several library organizations, includiung reQuest, iConn, and CONNECT, which allows a reader to find almost any book.
From their website: Our town, once a tiny farming community, has changed beyond measure since the days of the subscription library in the Congregational church, and the world of libraries and information service bears only a superficial resemblance to that tiny collection of books donated by Noah Webster. Throughout all the years of change, however, one thing has remained constant. West Hartford, a community of “readers,” has continued to use and support the West Hartford Public Library as it has reinvented itself in order to meet the expanding needs of all local residents.
