The University of Connecticut Music Department established a music library in the 1930's, and today is an official component of the University Libraries. Numbering over 80,000 volumes, the collection supports a wide variety of music and dramatic arts programs in the School of Fine Arts. Use of the collection is extended to the University, community, and state. The current facilities were constructed in 1999, and remodeled in 2017. The Universities collections related to music and drama are divided between the Music & Dramatic Arts Librar and Homer Babbidge Library

- Audio Recordings: CDs (including recordings of UConn Dept. of Music performances), CD-ROMs, Cassettes, and LP records
- Books related to composition, music education, music history, musicology, and music theory (and their over-sized counterparts)
- Play-scripts
- Reference materials
- Scores & Sheet Music
- Video Recordings: DVD's, LaserDiscs, VHS tapes, and Videocassettes

- Government documents related to music and drama
- Microfiche and Microfilms related to music and drama
- Print journals related to music and drama
- Printed Theses & Dissertations by graduates of the Dept. of Music & Dept. of Dramatic Arts
- *Prompt Books from the Connecticut Repertory Theatre are housed in the Archives & Special Collections
