Descripció:: The Central Express library is one of 19 locations in the Maricopa County Library District (MCLD). It is a pick up/drop off location for County Library materials (i.e., no collection to browse). It's located in midtown Phoenix near Central Ave and Thomas Rd, a convenient stop for people who live, work, or pass through the area to pick up and drop off materials from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. The Central Express library also serves as MCLD's administrative headquarters. This location offers onsite use of iPads and digital services, as well as new library card applications and renewals.

Each year, MCLD holds more than 6,500 free events for all ages. We run a summer reading program for more than 75,000 people, and an annual "food for fines" program that accepts non-perishable foods for local pantries in lieu of collecting overdue fines. We seek to inspire curiosity, to encourage discovery and exploration, and to help residents re-engage with their community.
