These books always present basic scientific concepts into clear terms that are easy to understand in an imaginative and enticing format that keeps students engaged. My whole class loved when a teacher read these books or played the series after we discussed a topic for review, and I think that they are still a great tool to utilize in the classroom or even at home to help students learn. Second and third graders especially benefit from reading these books. Ms. Frizzle's class faces a problem when they can't seem to get their beanstalk to grow for their Jack and The Beanstalk play. Everyone except Phoebe climbs onto the bus for another field trip, and Ms. Frizzle turns Phoebe into the beanstalk!
