Slow in spots but worth it in the end. The author leaves gaps in the story untouched but then answers the questions chapters down the road. Could use some refining but worth the read. (

“some days you feel like a bloodthirsty, paranormal prey hunting demon with poison blood, some days you don’t…” And some days I feel like reading fast paced, original YA books, which this one certainly is. Besides, it has a chupacabra in it, what more do you want? (

Every Other Day is about a high school girl named Kali who is human one day and then turns into a hunter of preternatural beings every other day. Because of her situation she has no friends until she meets Bethany, Skylar, and Elliot, who change her life forever. Anyone who likes stories with supernatural characters and a strong female protagonist will like this story. It wasn't one of my favorites, but I always enjoy the writing style of Jennifer Lynn Barnes who has a talent for bringing her characters to life. (

I absolutely loved this book. It was so different from other paranormal books. I loved all the characters and Barnes left me wanting more. I was so sad to see it end. (
