The theme for "Hurricanes, Weathering the Storm" is that Hurricanes are very dangerous and there is alot we need to know about them. The book was engaging because it was very informative. I would recommend this book for grades 3 and up.

This book explains the damage and gravity of a hurricane, where and when hurricanes strike, how they are predicted and by whom, it lists past names of hurricanes and the years they hit, and this book briefly touches on global warming. I like this book because it comes from mostly an efferent stance but the pictures and visuals allow for a balanced aesthetic stance. This book is geared more towards ages 10 and up.

This books is a wonderful book that teaches kids about what hurricanes are, what they do, and facts about hurricanes.
