However, if you have read a Dane book that has a strong sassy female, then it the same as this one. I rather like the way she handles the Jaguar family dynamics. I frankly enjoy the Brown Siblings series better, but this one is my second favorite of hers. (  ) Bea_writer | Sep 21, 2013 | Revelation is the second book in the de La Vega cats and gives us a glimpse into their world with Max de La Vega and Kendra Kellogg. Kendra is a very powerful witch and Renee’s sister (from Trinity). She has moved to Boston to be closer to her sister and to start another chapter in her life. Max de La Vega is lawyer and is next in line to be the Alpha of the jamboree. He is convinced Kendra is his mate and is pursuing her regardless of her hesitancy in getting serious with someone again after her failed marriage. I think the story line is really great with the introduction of more of the magical angle from Kendra. It was done really well and blends with the jaguar story. I really liked the interaction and byplay between the two characters. Kendra is a really well-developed character, she is a tough, take no shit woman and I love her for it. Max is just yummy. He is a leader in every sense of the word. Together they are just HOT, HOT HOT! Max and Kendra have some really great scenes together and they steam up the pages. My favorite quote from the book is when Kendra asks Max “what do you want from me?” and he replies “everything”. Ah, loved it! One of the really enjoyable parts of this book was when each character gave some internal thoughts and dialogue. Some of it was so funny I was laughing out loud as I read it.
