I thought that this was a good book. I liked this book for multiple reasons. First, I liked how this book had all kinds of animals in it like lions, zebras, and chimpanzees. Second, I liked the language the author used in the book. The author made the book in first person. On each page, there is a different animal talking to the reader about itself. Each animal introduces itself and gives a brief description about what they eat, their role, etc. For example, the Umbrella Bird says, “My head has a crest of black feathers, so when I look up at the sky and see that it’s raining instead of complaining I just spread them out and keep dry!” Third, I liked how each description is a poem. This book uses rhyming words like, “I sleep in the sun to get hot, and when I’m not sleeping I mooch in the mud, which hippos like doing a lot.” Lastly, I liked the illustrations in this book. Each poem has a picture of the animal that it’s talking about for the reader. The illustrations are very bold, bright, colorful, and cartoonlike to make them fun. The main idea of this book is to teach young children animals and the alphabet while teaching them poetry. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
