ErlendSkjelten: I don't remember making this recommendation, much less why I did; they are very different books. I think I felt that they both conjured up the same mystic mood, and they are both concerned with a very British magic.

Sense oblidar-nos dels dos homes, Jonathan Strange i Mr. Norell, cadascun dels quals té motius i objectius força diferents per a utilitzar la màgia.
El llibre està molt ben escrit, potser massa ben escrit i tot per a ser un llibre de fantasia, gènere on et sols esperar "gira-pàgines" com Harry Potter. Una retallada a algunes de les seves cinc-centes pàgines, no el perjudicaria però entès com un llibre de "llarg recorregut" és molt molt recomanable. ( )
