This story seemingly sprouts random threads. Gennady (from The dragon of Pripyat) is taking an ex-Google prize winner (the 'eyes' of its Mars rover) to Kazakstan to escape the attentions of ex-Soviet spooks. They hole up at an ex-Soviet nuke testing site as Gennady is also investigating there rumours of metaexplosives, which can set off nuclear weapons without the need for a plutonium trigger. And Laika the dog was the first living being in space and does not appear...But it all comes together in an incredible revelation! ( )
