I never knew of penny auctions. ( ) A little girl named Leah and her family's farm was going to be auctioned off. She sacrificed her pony and sold it in order to pay for all of the other farm animals that were necessary like the chickens and tractor. She saved the farm from the auction by paying for all of it but was very sad she didn't have her pony. The next morning she went into the barn only to find her horse again! The neighbor lady brought her back to leah because it didn't fit her or her grandson. and left a note saying she heard she saved her family's farm. Very uplifting story This book is about a girl and her pony. She has to give her pony up because of the Great Depression. One of her neighbors bought the pony and she was able to get her back. I liked this book because even though it was sad, it had a happy ending. The reading levels for this book are grades first through third. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
