Be they the largest, the oldest, or the thickest, the “celebritrees” described in this book connect nature with historical events and famous people. Celebritrees: Historic & Famous Tress of the World is a informational text for elementary aged students. This book would be most appropriate for 3rd graders and above. I personally thought the book was a tad boring, especially for children in elementary school. I think the text was too long and included some vocabulary that children would not understand. Although I found the book to be informative, I think the book would be more appealing if the text was bigger and not as detailed. Lastly, I thought the illustrations were helpful and matched well with the text. The big idea of the story is to inform students on different trees that were/are used for celebrations. These trees range from 4,000 years old to anywhere around the world. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
The 14 trees in this book have earned the title "Celebritrees" for their global fame and significance. Both in fact and in legend, these fascinating trees remind us not only how much pleasure trees bring, but what they can tell us about history. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
