Wonderful collection of truely terrifying horror stories. Starting with Guest in the Attic this author sucks you in and keeps your interest. Very readable and very enjoyable for horror enthusiasts. Great Job!!! An excellent way to spend an afternoon in the sun!! ( )

An interesting collection of short horror stories with a wide range of classic horror subjects. While there are poems contained in this collection by far I prefer the short stories. But that's a personal preference not a reflection on the writer. I believe the author has a lot of potential and would recommend this to any horror fan. ( )

Review of member giveaway eBook
This book of horror short stories and poems provide an entertaining and unusual twist on the usual themes of vampires, werewolves, zombies and bad teachers. Not too graphic and each story being short enough to finish in a few minutes. Highly, recommended. This is a fun collection to add to the genre. ( )

I really enjoyed these stories. They ranged over the horror genre, and there were quite a few suprises. I would defintely recommend this book to anyone thats interested in horror. ( )

JG Faherty wrote all of the short stories in the collection call The Monster Inside, many of which were published in outside sources and he's placed them all in one easy location to read. I won't go into and review each story since there are 17 stories and poems to review. I will however speak in general terms on the writing and the enjoyment I had reading the stories.

I like the scary horror genre of writing. Dracula, Frankenstein, Phantom of the Opera and all kinds of gore. Dean Koontz and Stephen King are probably my two favorite creepy author writers. I couldn't even ride in a car for awhile after reading Christine! So this collection by JG Faherty was a nice mix. It had Vampires, Werewolves, Serial Killers, Aliens, Van Helsing, Demon Spawn, Ancient Egypt and much more.

JG Faherty touched on just about every horror genre and tapped different resources to make them work. The Longmarsh Witch was probably one of my favorites since you think you're going in one direction and yet the end fucked you completely. It was awesome! The title The Monster Inside comes from one of his short stories which mixes the werewolf story with a serial killer one, and not in the way you're probably thinking.

The writing style of the author was remarkable as well. Some of the stories, when I would read the beginning blurb, I worried about how well I'd understand (like the Sci Fi ones) but the writer made it simple to comprehend and become completely absorbed in. Since they were short stories it made it easy to flip from one to other as well without feeling a wandering moment like with some of the larger novels (just me? okay). I'd heartily read more of his works if I could find them! ( )
