Being a choice of aphorisms and quips which attracted the attention of President Reagan over the years. Many of them are the type of observation which served as bases for the syndicated radio talks which he delivered during his wilderness years. For the most part, these sayings are very familiar--one might say trite--to anyone familiar with newspaper columns of the middle of the last century. The quips and puns, which make up about the last quarter of the book, are often amusing, or at least groanworthy (which, of course, is half the fun of puns). Although one need not be a conservative to find some of the political sayings appealing, most of them are basically 'glittering generalities', and in some cases their attribution is extremely questionable. As for providing insight into Reagan's mind, they may serve a purpose, but since, to me, Reagan was one of our more straightforward presidents, this hardly seems like a great necessity. The book is a pleasant two-evening read which has a bit of an aura of empty calories about it. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
