Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I published an extensive review of this in Clues: a Journal of Detection. Obscure so I won't refer you to it. It was negative. Poorly written, poorly organized, strange preoccupations with Jews, Catholics and dragging in people who have nothing to do with the Ripper Murders. Crowley, for instance; he was eight at the time. Anyhow, unless you are an absolute Ripper collector who must have anything written on the murders, skip this one. There is actually nothing about black magic, so occultists need not collect this. "Jack the Ripper is a legendary gothic tale of Victorian conspiracies, the supernatural, secret societies and the police. Scotland Yard hunted a serial killer shrouded in politics as the mutilator of East End prostitutes infused pop culture with horror. This book uses historic sources and rare official reports to reveal dark and supernatural aspects of the Ripper case"--Provided by publisher. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
