In the story, a little boy narrates the good and not so pleasant characteristics of skunks. He describes what they look like, their "personalities" and what they are good for. The author did a good job of making the book humorous too, with his "stinky" adjectives and metaphors. A good extension activity would be to have them write a summary and what they learned about skunks from the book. Another extension activity would be to research and then compare and contrast the different types of skunks, their characteristics and their environments. ( ) Ugh, so disappointed. My mother bought this for me because I love skunks so much and the pictures were adorable. The poem and the story were just really, truly horrible though. It wasn't even "fun" nonsensical like Seuss did, but just boring, ridiculous, "let's throw whatever we can together and hope it kinda/sorta rhymes" nonsensical. I like the pictures well enough, but I doubt I'd ever read this to my niece or nephew. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
Suggests all kinds of silly, smelly things that one could do with skunks. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
