Its an informational book about kids first day of school.

Young Reader Reaction: I remember my first day of first grade. I was so nervous because I was in a new school. I was scared because I thought people would be mean to me. In first grade I met Ashley, who has been my friend ever since. [We're in high school now.]

This book is good for all ages. It is mostly for parents to read with their kids to help them visualize their first day of school. But I read it several times and shared it with my family, and we shared and relived our first-day-of-school experiences.

The process of what you need to do to get ready for the first day of school. What they remember from last year. The boys need a haircut. Kate needs a new backpack. Pablo and one other boy had the same T-shirt on last year. Eveline’s mother made for a white dress. Jessica can now make her own lunch. Then you need some new shoes for school.

The First Day of school is a great book to read to students at the beginning of the school year. This book is about a group of students that are preparing for a brand new year of school. Many students are anxious about the upcoming school year and they look back on the previous year, while comparing their new backpacks and hair cuts to their fellow classmates. This is a great book for teacher's to use to make sure that their students are comfortable with school and enjoy learning. ( )
