caimanjosh: Both of these series feature great characterization, good writing, and a bare-knuckle, realistic approach to fantasy, as opposed to much of the high fantasy work out there.
Primera part de la trilogia de la 1ªLlei. Gairebé tota la novela ens presenta els diferents personatges que seran protagonistes: L’inquisidor Glokta, convertit en un cínic coix després de ser torturat durant anys; En Logen Nou Dits, un guerrer gegant però de bon cor; el capità Luthar, que tot el que li sobra de bon espadatxí, li falta de la resta… I així ens anirà presentant personatges, que conformaran el grup, que a l’estil de la Comunitat de l’Anell començaran el viatge que els ha de portar a les millor aventures per salvar el seu regne. Però això ho veurem a la segona part. ( )
No sóc gaire fan de la fantasia, però aquest és un llibre molt molt recomanabl. Si hi ha alguna cosa a retreure-li, és que tot plegat no deixa de ser un immens preàmbul dels fets que, suposo, es deuen desencadenar en els llibres dos i tres de la trilogia.
Afortunadament, uns personatges i diàlegs molt molt potents ens faran passar les quatre-centes pàgines com un sospir.
La història, doncs té una mica de tot el típic de la fantasia: guerres, cerca d'objectes misteriosos, formació del grup d'aventurers amb diferents habilitats, etc. ( )
