In my opinion, “Wild Babies” is an exciting informational book about wild animals and their offspring. The book provides a significant amount of detailed information about how animal parents raise their young. There are several up-close photographs that show readers exactly what these animals look like in their natural habitats. These photographs provide readers with a visualization of what they can expect to see in the wild. Along with detailed, accurate information and stunning photographs, this book includes a wonderful introduction that explains what readers will be learning about. For example, “Baby animals come in many sizes, shapes, and colors. You may have seen liters of kittens or puppies, but how about a lynx kitten, or a baby koala? There are more than a million kinds of animals in the world, and in this book we’ll talk about some of the wild baby animals you may have never seen. Most wild babies can move around right after they are born, and some are already able to take care of themselves. But many animal mothers—such as elephants, polar bears, and giraffes—stay with their young to protect and feed them. Other mothers, such as frogs and alligators, have little or no contact with their babies.” This book provides a lot of fun facts and information that most people are unaware of. The language in the text is very descriptive. It also introduces some new vocabulary to young readers. The big idea is to teach children all about different wild animal babies. In my opinion this is a good informational book that successfully informed the reader about a wide variety of their animals and their babies' lives. This book did this well because of its vivid photographs of the animals and ability to be both accurate and informative while still keeping the reader engaged by presenting facts and animals in a fast-paced organization. The book's illustrations utilized captivating images of the real life animals being discussed, helping educate the reader on their physical traits and drawing them in with cute babies and beautiful wildlife to make them want to read the accompanying information. One good example of this is shown through a photograph of a family of monkeys showing their baby's head poking out between his parents grooming him and how the intriguing picture made the audience want to read about what they were doing. Also, the book ensured the reader did not get bored with the material because of how the information was organized in a one animal per two page structure. This enabled the author to have a full page of information on the animal with a full page photograph, and still move fast enough to keep the reader focused and wanting more. Another great book about different animals from around the world. It tells the reader where they are from, about their babies, where they live and how they exist as a/in their family on our planet. This is another great book to teacher children about animals as well as compare and contrast them to us and other animals. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
