There are illustrations that show what the text says making it very easy to understand what was written as well as examples connecting to the material. Christoper, the main character, asks his friend Raccoon to explain seasons; Raccoon has Bear and Christopher model the way the sun rotates around the sun as well as spinning on its own axis. The author illustrates the animals modeling this activity which will help the visual learners see what is being described in the text. A teacher can even take the method of modeling the rotation and use it in his classroom as he teaches about the planets, seasons, or other geographical concepts. There is not too much text on a page making the book easy to follow and comprehend too, Lastly, as the book comes to a close the author has Raccoon share the games he and his friends play in different seasons (hockey in winter, swimming in summer) which help readers make connections and be able to identify the seasons easily. The "Just Ask" series is meant to teach students in a fun, easy way and they do just that; I have learned more from these children's books than I did for most of my science studies in primary education.
