This is the funniest book I have ever read! I did not stop laughing from the minute I picked this book up. It was literally laugh out loud funny which got many strange looks from people in the room.
This book is not so much a story with a beginning middle and end but more a series of hilarious short stories from throughout her life. Some people may find the swearing offensive and I would skip the chapter about her dog dieing unless you want to cry a lot.
This was a great quick summer read that lead me to follow her blog. ( )

This was a great audio book. I get jaded by content creators, but sometimes I'm reminded of how good the originals are (and newbies, too, no discrimination) by people like Jenny Lawson who hold the title "The Blogess". She read the book herself, and her voice (both literal and literary...I have to stop saying this in my reviews of audiobooks) was so well-suited for the content. Her shrill, off-key, Gregorian-like chanting of the chapter titles was weird, to say the least, but the book was weird, and she's weird. Something else that I noticed from an author who's used to writing distinct articles at various integrals on a platform that's exclusively their own is that she re-uses a lot of the same phrasing, which is great for branding an online image and gets tiresome in chapter after chapter that are all lined up next to each other. But she actually kept these stories really cohesive. Some of my favorite parts were unscripted, too. She gave descriptions of the photos in the book that sounded like they were spoken off the cuff, and then after the credits there was some random ad-libbing about various topics that added a star to this review, showed how hilarious she really is, and suggested that the editing process might even dim some of her wit, in which case the blog is the best place for her, anyway. Warped and twisted, sometimes vulgar, but mostly very funny. Laughed to tears over the not-allowed-to-lean-against-the-pillows rule and the chapter Knock Knock MotherF**r made me want to go buy a six foot metal chicken, and my boyfriend and I laugh out loud everytime we see a metal chicken, which is more often than you'd think, living in the country... ( )

This was a very funny book although somewhat unbelievable. I think she exaggerated quite a few of the details of her stories.
