This eighth volume of the series has all of the elements of the previous volumes that I liked a lot: characters with secrets in their pasts, interfering families, paranormal shenanigans and human power plays, a hot vampire and an equally hot human.

Danny is a great guy. He gets tricked into a blood contract (mind you, he probaby should have checked more carefully) an still sticks it out because he gave his word. He is loyal enough to suffer horribly because he really wants to help Dominic.

Dominic may be an old vampire but he discovers all kind of new stuff now that Danny is his blood donor. He is a bit slow on the uptake where emotions are concerned, and almost ruins everything, but at least he learns.

If you like vampire stories, a stronger male protecting the weaker one and a villain who tries to ruin it all while the heroes struggle to overcome outdated traditions, you will probably like this book. ( )

I really enjoy anything that Stormy Glenn writes, this is a nice addition to the Wolf Creek Series.

I hope to see more of Sully and maybe even a mate for him.
