LARGE PRINT EDITIONEPIC Award Finalist. OKRWA International Digital Award Winner.Jocelyn Rhodes is a single mother with a demanding career and a long-neglected libido. Frustrated with the dating scene and way overdue for some satisfying sex, she takes a friend's advice and hires Sabian, a deliciously sexy escort. He's well worth the money, and the sheets haven't even cooled before she's ready to call him again. The more time she spends with him, the more she realizes she and Sabian have more in common than she thought. She's a single mom, he's a prostitute, and when it comes to dating, they're both damaged goods. To most potential mates, Jocelyn and Sabian are in a category akin to dented soup cans, but if the two of them can look past each other's respective dents, they just might find something they've both been missing. But even if they do find that something, how on earth can she make a relationship work with a man who sleeps with other women for a living? This book was previously published, and has been lightly revised from its original version.… (més)

This book took me a long time to finish, not because it isn't good, but because it's so emotionally loaded. There is a lot Jocelyn has to adjust to, change in her attitudes, confront in others, and not a single thing is simple or easy. Could you love a working prostitute? Hearts don't really care about societal "morality." :) ( )

I'm still not too sure about this book, but it was ok. One of my "flames on the side of my face" issues is infidelity, so seeing a heroine dealing with a hero whose job makes him inherently a cheater... It was weird. And really, it was more than that, but I just don't know what word I could use. I will say that I never felt uncomfortable with their decisions on how to deal with their relationship, even though they were choices I could never make. And I *really* appreciated how they portrayed Jocelyns relationship with her husband and kids. So refreshing for a non-dysfunctional divorced couple to be portrayed as getting along!

One thing... At the end, I felt like there hadn't been enough time spent on their relationship, and too much time going on about their sex life. Yes, that's how it all began, and it was a big part of their relationship, and all that is fine. But there needed to be more fleshing out of who they were and why they were so into each other. Jocelyn feared at one point that they stayed together just because they both were so scared they would never find another person to accept them for themselves. I wasn't entirely convinced by the end that this wasn't still true.

But, overall I did enjoy the story, if only for the novelty of it. ( )

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW:
Jocelyn Rhodes is a single mother with a demanding career and a long-neglected libido. Frustrated with the dating scene and way overdue for some satisfying sex, she takes a friend’s advice and hires Sabian, a deliciously sexy escort. He’s well worth the money, and the sheets haven’t even cooled before she’s ready to call him again.

The more time she spends with him, the more she realizes she and Sabian have more in common than she thought. She’s a single mom, he’s a prostitute, and when it comes to dating, they’re both damaged goods. To most potential mates, Jocelyn and Sabian are in a category akin to dented soup cans, but if the two of them can look past each other’s respective dents, they just might find something they’ve both been missing.

But even if they do find that something, how on earth can she make a relationship work with a man who sleeps with other women for a living?

4 stars. It was just the hot read I needed but I don't think I could have done as well as Jocelyn did with everything! I'm too jealous for all that but good for her, he was worth it! ( )
