Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. It was hot but the plot didn't hold my interest and the characters fell flat. I couldn't really get a hold on Mahiya's personality. In the beginning she seemed jaded and cynical but by the end she seemed obnoxiously innocent. Jason lost some of the intensity that we saw in the previous books. I don't really know how to describe him in this installment other than that he was present throughout the whole book doing things. That's about it. I wasn't really into the family reunion sub-plot. It seemed unnecessary and forced but I guess something needed to distract Neha from harassing Raphael and Elena. 3.5 stars Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

World building was good, scenes and environments were well detailed and clear. Loved the way the palaces were described, it painted a very real picture in my mind, making it easy to follow along instead of wondering where they were again.
Character development was great. Jason and Mahiya were a good match, I would even go as far as to say Neha did a good job. We finally got to know why Jason is so... well... Jason :) What has happened in his past, why he is so silent and how his mind works. Mahiya is like a rare flower finally able to bloom after several hundreds of years, but make no mistake, she is no court flower and she is determined to get her wish.
Pacing and flow of the book were good. A good balance between all the intrigue, violence, action and conversation.
The book itself was well written with only here and there a minor error, though nothing that pulled me from the story. And yes, there is sex described in this book (if that is important to you).
All in all, I liked it. Jason was always such a mystery and now at least the author has shed some light on him. That said, it feels like the main story of the series is heading towards a showdown again, so kinda want them to get on with it :) (I'm impatient, I know!) ( )
