Elle Wood, University of Southern California sorority president and sociopolitical jewelry design major, is blonde, spoiled, creative and desperately in love with her college sweetheart, Warner Huntingdon III. But when Warner announces he's off to Stanford Law School, and that while there he aims to find a girl 'more serious' than Elle to be his wife, Elle and Underdog, her pet Bichon Frise, hatch a plan to follow him so that he will marry her like he's supposed to do. Elle's Stanford misadventures are distinctly unpromising from the outset, and it seems that the one place where blondes definitely don't have more fun is law school. But then she's made an intern on the Murder of Malibu case, defending one-time fitness queen and apricot blonde Brooke Vandermark from the charge of murdering her billionaire husband. In a courtroom triumph, Elle vindicates Brooke and all who are blonde at heart with a tip any Cosmo girl should know.… (més)

Okay, usually the book is almost always better than the movie (in my opinion), but not this time. I don’t actually think this book was bad necessarily, it was honestly pretty okay, but compared to the movie, it’s just not as good. In the movie, Elle’s character was much better and the overall energy of the movie was just better. It was more enjoyable. Compared to that, the book is pretty bland. So, if you’re planning to read this instead of watching the movie, don’t bother. The movie is better. ( )

Elle Woods makes a great heroine, and though the movie came out after the book, the movie proves to be a more memorable experience. ( )

I don't mean to be a hater, but if you're considering reading this because you loved the movie, you'll probably be severely disappointed. One of the RARE times where the movie is better. (I do, however, recommend the musical. ;) ) ( )

Legally Blonde
By Amanda brown

This book is written by a nice woman which graduated from Arizona state university. She is the daughter of the lawyer jack brown and the art gallery owner Suzanne brown. I’ll tell you some things that goes on in the legally blonde. First of all in this book there are lots of humor and law.
A pink prodigy and the homecoming queen Elle woods is heart broken by her boyfriend warner. One night she thinks he is going to propose but it turns out he breaks up with her because she isn’t serious. Elle thinks that because is a blonde no one takes her seriously. She for at least a week she decides to lock herself in her room. She is devastated.
Her best friends takes her to relax her mind and take her to a place where her mind is blank which is a manicure and a pedicure. When she is waiting she gets hit with an idea. She knows where warner go to college for law, so she works really hard and she gets in to Harvard law college to try to get warner back in her life.
Elle woods finds out college law isn’t as cool as high school. She gets embarrassed in front of the class and worst of all she finds out her prince charming warner is engaged to a stuck up girl named Vivian. Elle woods is talked about and they think the only thing she knows is where to get clothes, shoes, and girly stuff like that.
Vivian however is a serious and law person. She don’t go shopping on a regular daily basis and she don’t get her hair washed every week. She doesn’t want to be a stuck up or a maid or the second wheel. They start to annoy and try to make each other jealous. Elle and Vivian are arch enemies and competition.
Legally blonde by Amanda brown has juicy scenes and an extraordinary ending. When i was reading this book by Amanda I was inspired. Because you can’t say you don’t like something when you didn’t try it or do it. You might be very good at it, enjoy it, and like it. Also try something else just because someone you know are doing or trying it, do it for you. In my opinion you should read this book because it’s about never giving up and the true meaning of enemies and friendship.

This book sucks. I love love love the movie. LOVE the movie. The book is a pale, wilting flower in comparison. It's not funny. It's unrealistic beyond the willing suspension of disbelief. I spent every page hoping it would get better and wondering if I should just stop reading it. ( )
