This book was incredibly informative and also easy to understand. The author did a great job at explaining the complicated economics during the Great Depression for middle aged children (and me) to understand. At times the book seemed a little text-dense, which made some sections a little bit dull. Though for the most part I found that this book held my attention using easily understandable language along with providing interesting, historical pictures and political cartoons. I would recommend this book to middle aged children interested in American History, economics, and specifically the Great Depression. This would be a useful book for librarians to keep on the shelf.
