Fantastic expansion of the original Star Wars trilogy. Truly captures the tone and pacing perfectly of the movies. Heir to The Empire is my favorite of the three part series. I always got them for Christmas and Birthdays. I love Star Wars and was always scared to start reading these thinking they would ruin what I loved. Well I finally bit the bullet and read this. And I have to say I was blown away. Five years removed from Return of the Jedi and the Empire is being led by Grand Admiral Thrawn. He is set on destroying the new Republic. I think Thrawn is an awesome character and and love they way he thinks. I can not wait to jump into the second book. I would recommend having a Star Wars encyclopedia or internet handy.
