Jacked Up is a sweet, steamy and sexy contemporary read. The relationship McCarthy explores in this book is based on mutual attraction and love but battles against external factors such as money, family, and social conditioning. It did, however, feel rushed in the end and lacking in a proper resolution.

Listened to audio narrated by Emily Durante. Eve a control freak from a rich family and a little neurotic, Nolan is a laid back jack man. They are funny, even if they are a bit crazy. Their romance isn't smooth, issues with her control issues, with their financial differences, as well as some other issues.

yep... i read it - simply due to book cover - they say "you can't judge a book by the cover" - which is true... but sometimes the eye candy is simply too irresistible. hahahahaha

Poor Eve is getting a bad rep in reviews... I liked her. Eve comes from a family of men in racing. Something she always wanted to do but at the time when she wanted to race there were no women on the track and she kept getting turned down. So she decided to do what she thought her family and society would want her to do - go to college and then become the PR rep for her brothers. We all find ourselves doing this at some point in our lives. Working a job we don’t like, doing things to make our family happy. After a while it takes its toll on you and your sarcasm can come off sideways and others take it the wrong way. I loved how right from the beginning Nolan saw through Eve and called her on her words and actions. He never let her smart mouth get to him which always defused Eve because she didn’t know how to handle that. Their process of falling in love was unconventional but yet very sweet and I loved it.

It was nice getting to see most of the gang from all the previous books and where they are at in their relationships today.

Sad this was the last of the series but it’s been a good run... (pun intended)

Enjoyable addition to the series. I liked how they honestly said what they feel and the hero's happy attitude was so adorable as he consistently pursued the heroine. Jackman Nolan asks PR rep Eve out when she is scolding him for not wearing underwear when his pants ripped while changing race car tire. ( )
