Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Everyone knows the case of Jekyll and Hyde, from the many movies it spawned if nowhere else. Not even the best of the several film versions are remotely as good, or nuanced, as Stevenson's original story. The remaining eight tales in this collection are all at least entertaining (though beware, "Thrawn Janet" is written mostly in a British dialect not readily comprehensible to the modern American reader). The book's final tale is "The Body Snatcher," inspired by the infamous Burke and Hare murders of the late 1820s. "The Body Snatcher" alone is worth the price of admission. Cunningly crafted and superbly unwound, this masterful story veils its chilling secret until, literally, its very last word. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
