Indian Festivals is an informational juvenile novel about the traditions and customs of Indians when they throw their festivals or celebrations. Certain tribes like to come together and have large fairs with ferris wheels and refreshments. In the novel, the author talks a lot about rain dances and sun dances. The rain and sun dances are really exhausting, long dances, generally done by the men in order to receive rain for their crops so that they have food for the summer. In states in the west, there is no rain for months and the Indians believe if they dance for the rain then it will come to help them out. The Indians in the Alaskan and Canadian regions have whale hunts as their festivals, they hunt for whales and drum drums around a campfire. This book has lots of information on Indian Festivals and how they are important to the culture of Indians all over the United States. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
