The old song is expanded with a plausible story line and cute illustrations (not quite realistic, but not cartoons). ( ) Adding hand and arm gestures to each part of the song, engages the kids in the book, especially if they aren't able to sing it yet. This is a great book to get kids up and moving. A very catchy song that they will be able to sing anywhere and relate to real life objects they see. This book is good for children age 2-6. This book is about a grandma and two grandkids that went into town to shop for some new coats. Once they had found the coats that they wanted, it was time for them to go home. They waited at the bus stop for the bus for a very long time, so grandma that it would be a great idea to sing the "wheels on the bus". As they were singing that song they got to distracted and eventually missed the bus, so they took the taxi home. This book was a great sing along book, which would get students involved within the book and allows them to sing along as well.
