Vulnerability: Blessing in the Beatitudes (Gospel for Real Life) (edició 2012)

A nice, practical-minded study on the Beatitudes (Matthew v, the beginning of the Sermon on the mount), it suffers from using modern, psychological-sounding vocabulary that did not sit well to this fourth-generation Evangelical with Reformed leanings; perhaps new converts will fare better. The ‘vulnerability’ language did not click with me as being anywhere Biblical, even if sometimes it made sense by mentally translating it into ‘humility’.

It also broke my expectations of being just like other titles in the series, that deal with real personality, emotional issues people have, such as borderline personality, depression, burnout; I expected to read a booklet on how to deal with the paralysing fear of vulnerability that characterises some people I know and have to deal with daily.
