S'està carregant… An Introduction to Greek Sculpturede John Barron
Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Disappointing. I read this as a follow-up to Wittkower’s Sculpture: Process and Principles, hoping to see these applied to a closer study of Greek sculpture. Barron was a professor of Classics and while he writes fluently of the stylistic history of Greek sculpture and is clearly knowledgeable about its subject matter there is almost no technical detail whatsoever about the production process and its evolution. Indeed he draws no distinction between sculpted stone and cast bronze. Aesthetic criticism of the “wine-tasting” school. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
