![]() Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I liked this one much more than the first one. And it was surprisingly hot. ( ![]() Much better than "Fourth & Goal" -- not as many football metaphors (beyond the chapter titles) and not such an obvious attempt to get the titles into the text. Story very interesting & makes me want to go ahead & read Zach's story whenever it is published. What a wonderful and very hot romance! As a football fan myself (Go Cowboys!) I really loved the story from Tyler’s point of view and seeing that as perfect he looks from the outside he has real insecurities inside that he just didn’t want to deal with. One thing I found very interesting was Lavender’s back story. It deals with a real problem that does in fact happen in families where the parents are no longer together. It is called parental alienation syndrome or PAS for short. I think that Ms. Davenport really dealt with this situation very well. It added such a dimension to Lavender’s character and to her relationship to Tyler. Forward Pass is the second in the Seattle Lumberjacks series but is perfect as a standalone story. I have not read the first in this series but this was so good I know I will read it as well as the next book. Caution: This book is for adults due to language and sex scenes. Forward Passes Seattle Lumberjacks Book Two By Jami Davenport Quarterback for the Lumberjacks, Tyler Harris, has just inherited a rundown mansion from his great uncle with the stipulation that he must live there for nine months before he can sell it. But this is followed on the heels of an unfortunate accident involving a police officer and his big mouth creating media frenzy and his leaving in the midst of the uproar will only cause more speculation. But after Tyler meets his sassy redheaded neighbor he thinks the stay may not be so bad. Lavender Mead hates jocks with good reasons and when Tyler moves in next door she wants nothing to do with him even if he is drop dead gorgeous. Sexy jock and the feisty girl next door could you get an even better scenario for a steamy romance novel? I loved the quips between the two as they both go through their own tumultuous side stories as they grow together and find a way to become a better person each in their own aspects. The only problem I had was that the author seems to use the word “rooster” (edited to keep this review rated g) so much that I began to wonder if she did indeed know a another word for it. Though this does happen sometimes in romance novels that an author will find one word they like and stick to it. Other than that Jami Davenport has created a wonderful story that is witty and beautiful, I had no idea that this book was a part of a series so now I am off to try to find the first one! Quarterback Tyler Harris is about to find the woman who can get past his defensive line and reach his heart. With two championships in as many years, superstar Tyler Harris is the best quarterback in the league. Gorgeous and rich, he's at the top of his game. But everyone's looking to take him down. There's a building media frenzy around an unfortunate accident, and the only safe place seems a rundown mansion deep in the San Juans and owned by his late great uncle. There, Tyler gets sacked by the sassy redhead next door. It's more alive than he's felt in years. Lavender Mead has a good reason to dislike jocks, namely an absentee father who deserted the family to coach college football. Maybe that explains her penchant for bad boys who play ball for a living and break hearts for a hobby. Her new neighbor seems just the type. Yet, something is different about Tyler, and sometimes love requires a Hail Mary. You draw back your arm, pray...and give it all up to fate. And sometimes you win your ring. 5 Stars - Great story from a Wonderful Writer - HEA Romances with a Little Kick: I love football and love reading romance. IMHO, Ms. Davenport is the best at writing about both. She delivers a terrific story and a hero to fall for, while writing about a game she clearly knows well and also enjoys. The only problem is that the book cost me some sleep - it's hard to put down No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
