I normally love Tessa Dare, but this one... not as good as usual.

I generally enjoy Dare's writing, but still I wasn't expecting very much from this. Probably the first third or so held to that expectation, not bad but not great. But as it went along I enjoyed it more, and by the end I just felt so pleased for them. lol. They seem genuinely well suited to each other, and had a nice, long journey for such a short book. 4.5 stars rounded up. (
