Misaki-Chan really admires watching the Angelic Layers. She really wants one of her own, suddenly she comes across a man named Dr.Kun he helps here make her own angel by giving her an angel egg. Misaki-Chan takes it home. At home she goes onto the computer and fills out all the details for her angel. Misaki-Chan wants her angel to be built for speed. After filling the detailsout she opens the egg. Inside the egg there is an angel with no hair and clothes. Misaki-Chan cuts some of her own hair of and adds it onto her new angel. Then she gets a little towel to put over her angel.
The next day she meets a little 9 year old girl who is a champion of Angelic Layer. She gives Misaki-Chan a pair of clothes for the day. ( )

This volume is very faithful to the series. Its cute, non serious, and something I would actually reread. Don't be looking for anything dark and gloomy here. My only complaint is the doctor, he's a bit annoying, but then, he was that way in the series too. ( )

This manga series is connected to Clamp's other series, Chobits. It's about a girl who moves to Tokyo to live with her her aunt and becomes involved in a fighting doll competition. Her mother left her when she was young and it is unclear why she left. This manga is very sweet and funny. It is intended for a younger audience, but is still enjoyable for older readers. ( )
