Jubilee has always been very scared for Kieran when he had to go undercover, but in this book, he gets to do the same. A joint undercover operation with these two is bound to be interesting, so hold on to your hats! The crime ring they fight this time is even more horrible than previous ones, and I was happy to see Jubilee and Kieran join forces to get these criminals. Jubilee's interest in a long-term relationship is also very clear, but then, he has always been the one who seemed to be more in favor of it, emotionally, I mean, even though he had a hard time coming out.
Kieran gets to find out what it's like to have a lover who is also undercover. Yes, Jubilee's work as US Marshal wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but going undercover to break a child trading organization is different. Playing the role of a slimeball while having his lover watch, sort of, was also an interesting challenge for him. It isn’t an easy realization for Kieran, but one of the conclusions he draws, of wanting to make the relationship with Jubilee work, is a good one.
One of the greatest things about this final book in the Jubilee/Kieran story is to see how far their relationship has come. And I was gratified to see they were just as interested in working out a happy ending for themselves as I was in seeing it happen! The supporting characters added as much as always to the story, and I am sorry to see them go. Well, maybe some of them will be back? You never know! If you're looking for the hot final installment of this entrancing story, if you want even more unique characters and new criminals to catch, then you will love this book (definitely to be read in sequence).
