I often wonder why people keep on writing new games to do the same thing we already have so many systems for but this was very innovative, definitely leaning more towards a story-telling game than a crunchy system like Pathfinder. It also heavily encouraged "flying by the seat of your pants" GM'ing, which isn't my style at all (unless it has to be) so I felt like reading it was stretching my tolerance (which is good). I want to give this a try and see how it goes, maybe the minimalism of it will work for the 45 year-old me. It definitely wouldn't have worked for the younger me who loved crunchy, complicated systems. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

This book is filled with all kinds of advise, a lot of it you'll have come across many times in many other core books but some of it will lead you to an entirely new way of thinking. For example, when you roll the dice here, you're rolling for the consequences to your actions rather than just to see if you succeed. This means that there is always a narrative consequence to every action. It's kind of like a continual accumulation of fiction that results from each and every situation, and this is a true godsend when it comes to attempting solo play.
Very informative. Makes a change to see something really and truly different from an rpg core book. ( )
