Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. That was a surprise! So i bought this before reading the second volume and regretted it. While the second book is not bad by any means, i felt it was played out and wouldn't have continued the series if i hadn't already grabbed this one when i seen it on sale. Now however... totally back on board. The problem was that Angel completes her character arc by the end of the first book so there didn't really seem like a lot of areas the character could go after that. The second volume only confirmed this by focusing more on the zombie action than character. However this volume fixes all that, giving Angel new goals, bringing in new characters and threats and just doing a very solid job all round. Although it doesn't have the novelty factor of the first book i would say its the best written so far. Plenty of character plenty of zombie action. The only thing which suffers is the actual conspiracy stuff which gets shoved to the background, but i doubt many people care about that anyway. The author does a good job of recapping everything thats happened so far in as organic a way as such things can be done. Some might feel those bits are redundant, i was fine wth them. Although even with all the recapping the actual conspiracy details becomes so convoluted that i lost track of who was working for who. All 3 books have an ending, which i appeciate, no cliffhangers. However i did notice a LOT of unfinished threads being laid out in this one, plus the character count is getting pretty high now so a lot to keep track of. One minor quibble, while i understand it from a story POV, the drip feeding of information can be a little annoying, especially concerning exactly what a zombie can do and how they work. Overall though actually close to giving it 5 stars and i'm almost certain to buy the next entry, so mission accomplished Miss Rowland ;) . Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
Horror meets humorous urban fantasy in third book of the White Trash Zombie series * Winner of the 2012 Best Urban Fantasy Protagonist by the RT Awards Our favorite white trash zombie, Angel Crawford, has enough problems of her own, what with dealing with her alcoholic, deadbeat dad, issues with her not-quite boyfriend, the zombie mafia, industrial espionage and evil corporations. Oh, and it's raining, and won't let up. But things get even crazier when a zombie movie starts filming in town, and Angel begins to suspect that it's not just the plot of the movie that's rotten. Soon she's fighting her way through mud, blood, bullets and intrigue, even as zombies, both real and fake, prowl the streets. Angel's been through more than her share of crap, but this time she's in way over her head. She'll need plenty of brainpower to fit all the pieces--and body parts--together in order to save herself, her town, and quite possibly the human race. At least for now.
