( ) ~ borrowed from Library BISCUIT IN THE GARDEN is a sweet little book at the late Kindergarten Reading Level. It's time to spend some time in the garden and Biscuit discovers a butterfly, a worm, birds and birdseed. I wish that the artwork showed the girl doing gardening activities but it doesn't. Instead it's more about feeding the birds and what's nice is that some of them are accurately portrayed so that you can name them. There's a Cardinal, Chickadee, and Blue Jay you can point out. Plus a Blue Bird if you care to go into an explanation of how their chests aren't yellow but reddish, with a white belly. The Biscuit series is nice for beginning readers because many children love dog tales. This book has 159 words in a LARGE font. This Biscuit book is one of a collection of Biscuit's different adventures. I think these books are great for beginning readers. It uses easy words and repeats them multiple times. The books are also informational in the way that they teach Biscuit/kids different things that may be in a garden or things a dog may do. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
