Sarah Biddle was abandoned at a New York orphanage at a young age with her crippled brother Tom. Then they were sent West on an orphan train. This story will span the life of Sarah, her tragedies and her joys, and will give you a real feel for the life and times in Lincoln, Nebraska during the 1800's.
I loved how the story began as it was taking her quilt and telling Sarah's story with each quilt piece. She was a woman with hopes and dreams, who experienced romance and great losses. She was a courageous and strong young woman, and someone who finally found "Christ as her salvation". I loved the way this author weaved in the salvation message. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. ( )
