Graeme Browning is a rich and powerful man, the heir to a banking fortune. He has singular tastes in women. When young Olivia Stone's long legs catch his eye at a party, he decides that she might be a pleasant way to spend the night. He finds so much more than he expected, a bright, caring, compliant woman who fills his needs, and becomes his pet, his kitten, but soon becomes so much more than he expected. Widowed for several years, Graeme fights the way Olivia is melting the ice around his heart.Olivia has no expectations in her relationship with her Dom. She is oh so aware of the difference in their backgrounds. When she falls in love with him, the last thing she expects is a future with the handsome, controlling billionaire. This book contains mild BDSM, nothing harsh, including anal sex, bondage and spanking and is intended for readers over 18 years of age. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

This is more than an erotic novel, regardless of whatever the author’s intent might have been when writing it. It is a novel of human relationships. Warped relationships, but relationships nonetheless. Billionaire Graeme Browning is called back to England to run his uncle’s financial empire. In addition to being filthy rich, though, he’s also a bit filthy on the personal side, in to dominating submissive women. He meets Olivia, an employee of the firm, who he decides will be his next conquest. In the midst of all this, there’s crime and betrayal, and a touch of humor here and there. The ending will probably surprise you – I won’t spoil it by revealing it here.
Now, the negative side. Like I said at the outset – too much and too explicit sex. Of course, it is an erotic novel, so I guess that’s to be expected. Some formatting and manuscript issues, though, should be addressed. The e-Book version has chapter headings starting all over the place, and I find this disturbing. The book opens with several pages of description and narrative, and while it helps in understanding what’s going on, it could have been spread throughout the first chapter, and the action could have started earlier.
I’m still not a fan of erotic novels, but I’ll give Britton three stars for this one. ( )
