Hello Matt Montgomery! lol Nic annoyed me, but not nearly as bad as most female MCs I've been reading lately. I get hr thinking, but to not talk to Matt before leaving, and then her talking in circles when Matt found her to talk. I wanted to SMACK her. Just tell the man already! I loved that Matt's mom hunted Nic down and told her about Matt being a "grouchy ass". And of course the women had their usual chat about tattoos, piercings, and sex, and the men rolling their eyes and being embarrassed. Such a great series! A man whose lifestyle is so different from her own...Nic Dalton's cupcake bakery is thriving. She serves both rock stars and locals alike, content with her growing business. But one adventurous night out with her best friend, Bailey, turns her life upside down. She meets a handsome stranger who makes her skin sizzle and her heart race. Their one night together is explosive and unexpected, but when he has to suddenly leave without taking her phone number, Nic resigns herself to never seeing him again....What will it take to trust and submit to his every desire?Matt Montgomery is one of Seattle's finest. He works hard, loves and protects his family fiercely, and is loyal almost to a fault. And he has a penchant for bondage. Matt enjoys the way a woman looks wrapped up in his ropes, and makes no apologies for his preferences. When he meets Nic at a fetish festival, the small, beautiful woman catches his eye, drawing him to her. His one night with her was everything he's ever looked for in a partner but is cut short because of a family emergency. Even before he sees her again weeks later, he knows he'll never get her out of his system. And he'll do whatever it takes to make her his. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

I would give it 3 stars.
This is the first book of the series that I have read. It's very easy to pick up on the Montgomery men and their stories.
I rather enjoyed reading this. It was a quick and enjoyable read, with decent amount of steamy scenes to keep you glued for long periods of time.
I would have liked to see more development of Matt's character, as he seems too perfect (even with his "secret"), would like some depth and some ways to move beyond being one dimensional. Although, I have to be honest, the quick introduction of the Montgomery family (at least to me since this is the first book I have read in the series) just threw me through a loop as they are very forgettable characters in this book and very one dimensional.
Nic is definitely a strong woman who knows how to take care of herself after some health issues in the past and running a very successful bakery. I admire her determination and courage. It was nice that we got to see Nic develop as a character and woman, confronting her fears and issues. She is definitely a strong character.
The whole rope fetish and other fetishes were introduced seamlessly throughout the story, making it a smooth and easy introduction into this world. Nicely done.
Overall, this was a decent and fairly easy read. ( )
